Ecdial enables you to reach hundreds of millions of customers. We strive to ensure a fair and trustworthy buyer and seller experience. At Ecdial, we expect you to adhere to the code of conduct principles outlined below. Violation of the code of conduct principles may result in the loss of your selling privileges and removal from Ecdial Marketplace.

Seller Code of Conduct Principles:

  • Adhere to all applicable laws and abide by all Ecdial policies.

  • Maintain current account information.

  • Never misrepresent yourself.

  • Always act in a manner that ensures a trustworthy experience for Ecdial customers.

  • Never list products that may cause harm to Ecdial customers.

  • Never engage in any misleading, inappropriate or offensive behaviour. This applies to all your activities, including but not limited to:

    • Information provided on your account

    • Information provided in listings, content or images

    • Communication between you and Ecdial or you and our customers

 

  • Act fairly at all times. Unfair behaviour includes but is not limited to the following:

    • Behaviour that could be deemed as manipulation or "gaming" of any part of the buying or selling experience

    • Actions that could be perceived as manipulating customer reviews, including by directly or indirectly contributing false, misleading or inauthentic content

    • Activities that could be perceived as attempting to manipulate Ecdial's search results or sales rankings

    • Actions that intentionally damage another seller, their listings or their ratings

    • Only maintain one Seller account for each region in which you sell, unless you have a legitimate business need to open a second account and all of your accounts are in good standing. Examples of a legitimate business justification include:

      • You own multiple brands and maintain separate businesses for each

      • You manufacture products for two distinct and separate companies

      • You are recruited for an Ecdial  programme that requires separate accounts

 

  1. Keeping Your Account Information Secure

  • Pick strong passwords that are different for each of your accounts and change your password regularly.Choosing the same password for each of your online accounts is like using the same key to lock your home, car and office – if a criminal gains access to one, all of them are compromised.Use a long password made up of numbers, letters and symbols.Avoid using publicly-available information (For example: your phone number) in your passwords.

  • Review your Notification Settings and ensure that you have the required setup to receive notifications of important actions being taken on your account. Beware of phishing. Ecdial never asks you to verify sensitive information via email. Submit such information only when completing an order on our website, registering to sell on Ecdial or updating account information in Seller Central.If you are ever in doubt about the authenticity of an email, visit our site directly by typing the address into your browser bar, rather than clicking any links.

If your account has been compromised

If you believe your Ecdial account has been compromised, follow the steps below:

  • Change your Seller Central login password. If you are not able to login to your account, contact Seller Support.

  • Review the following information in your account to determine if any changes have been made:

    • Email address preferences

    • Payment information

    • User permissions

    • Ecdial storefront details

    • Listing and condition notes

  • Your email account might have been compromised as well. Consider changing the email address associated with your account and use a different password for your email account.

  • Contact Seller Support to report that your account has been compromised.


  1. Why can't I view some pages on Seller Central?

  • The rights and permissions associated with your account determine which pages you visit in the Vendor Center.

  • By default, the user registering the new seller central account has access to each page and feature. The administrator reserves the right to grant users access to their seller central account and control what features they may find.

  • If you are unable to access a Seller Central feature or help topic because you do not have the necessary rights and permissions, ask the administrator to give you access.


  1. Product Guidelines

Please note: Once you have chosen the condition of your listing, you cannot modify it later.

Unacceptable and prohibited items

Items in any of the following conditions are unacceptable for listing on Ecdial:


  • Item is not clean, including signs of mold, heavy staining, or corrosion.

  • Item is damaged in a way that renders it difficult to use.

  • Item is missing essential accompanying material or parts. This does not necessarily include instructions.

  • Item requires repair or service.

  • Item was not created by the original manufacturer or copyright holder. This includes copies, counterfeits, replicas, and imitations.

  • Item was originally distributed as a promotional copy, promotional bundle, product sample, or advance reading copy. This includes uncorrected proofs of in-print or not-yet-published books.

  • Item has passed the expiration date (includes "best by" and "sell by" dates), has an unacceptable portion of its shelf life remaining, or the expiration date has been tampered with or removed.

  • Item was intended for destruction or disposal or otherwise designated as unsellable by the manufacturer or a supplier, vendor, or retailer.

  • Item is prohibited for sale on Ecdial.


  1. Prohibited Content

Sellers are expected to conduct proper research to ensure that the items posted to our website are in compliance with all applicable laws. If we determine that the content of a product detail page or listing is prohibited, potentially illegal, or inappropriate, we may remove or alter it without prior notice. Ecdial reserves the right to make judgments about whether or not content is appropriate.

Listing prohibited content may result in the cancellation of your listings, or the suspension or removal of your selling privileges. Sellers are responsible for ensuring that the products they offer are legal and authorized for sale or resale.


If we determine that the content of a product detail page or listing is prohibited, potentially illegal, or inappropriate, we may remove or alter it without prior notice. Ecdial reserves the right to make judgments about whether or not content is appropriate.


Items not intended for distribution within India: Products that are specifically manufactured for, and identified as "not for distribution within India" cannot be sold on Ecdial.app. This includes the following; imported text books, non-Region 5 DVDs, and non-PAL format videotapes.

Illegal and potentially illegal products: Products sold on  Ecdial.app must adhere to all applicable laws. As sellers are legally liable for their actions and transactions, they must know the legal parameters surrounding any product they display on our website.

Offensive material:  Ecdial reserves the right to determine the appropriateness of listings posted to our website.

Nudity: In general, images that portray nudity in a gratuitous or graphic manner are prohibited.

Items that infringe upon an individual's privacy.  Ecdial holds personal privacy in the highest regard. Therefore, items that infringe upon, or have potential to infringe upon, an individual's privacy are prohibited.


Category, product and listing restrictions

For some product categories, sellers may not create product listings without prior approval from Ecdial.

Consequences for Violations

Listing of products in violation of Ecdial's policies or violation of applicable laws and regulations may result in actions, such as:

  • Cancellation of listing

  • Limits on listing privileges

  • Suspension of listing privileges

  • Removal of your listing privileges

  • Termination of your agreement and such other arrangement with Ecdial; or

  • Informing the relevant governmental, legal and regulatory authorities for necessary action

Ecdial reserves the right to make judgments in its sole discretion about whether or not a listing is appropriate and whether the same is in contravention of Ecdial's policy.
